Discover + Connect + Take Action = Leadership
The new Girl Scout Leadership Experience identifies three "keys" to leadership:
Discover
Girls understand themselves and their values and use their knowledge and skills to explore the world.
Connect
Girls care about, inspire and learn with others locally and globally.
Take Action
Girls act to make the world a better place.
All experiences in Girl Scouting incorporate the Discover, Connect and Take Action keys to leadership.
As girls take part in Girl Scouts, facilitators can review the outcomes, and the signs of those outcomes, to gauge the benefits of the experience. The signs of the outcomes reflect what girls think, say or do -- during and after the leadership experience -- and help adults determine the success of the experience.
