GSWPA has many events that honor the spirit of the Girl Scout movement, with proceeds ensuring the future leadership of girls.
Supporting special events as a guest or sponsor helps our council grow Girl Scouting in our community.

Erie Awards of Distinction Luncheon
The Erie Awards of Distinction is an excellent luncheon for women and girls to gather in the spirit of Girl Scouting. In its sixth year, 2014 Awards will be presented to an outstanding organization, Girl Scout Troop and woman for their efforts.

Through LeadHER, professionals are matched with Girl Scouts to introduce her to the workplace, empower her to dream without gender limitations, and help her think imaginatively about family, work and community life. Through this small investment of time – just a few hours – mentors give young women the experience and confidence they need to make informed decisions about career options.
Tentative Schedule for Wednesday, August 6, 2014 LeadHer Mentor Program
8:30 a.m. -- Girl Scout arrives at mentor's place of work.
8:30-11 a.m. -- Mentors provide tour and activity
11 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Girl Scout and mentor attend the Erie Awards of Distinction.
1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. -- Girl Scout and mentor participate in leadership discussion with all participants.
