Planned Giving

Girl Scouts allows girls to discover their inner leader, connect to new ideas and take action to make a difference in their communities.

In turn, you can take action to make a difference in the future of Girl Scouting here in western Pennsylvania.

When considering charitable contributions, you may have encountered the term “planned gift.” This broad term is used to describe gifts that are of a size or scope that require more considerations and planning than the typical cash donation. Planned gifts provide lasting support for GSWPA -- from camping to programs focusing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) or leadership opportunities. These gifts also often offer donors tax benefits. A planned gift might be a simple bequest, a gift of stock or a more complex donation, such as the creation of a charitable gift annuity.

These gifts are made by a diverse group of donors, across a wide range of ages and income levels, who have one common connection – a desire to ensure that Girl Scouting makes a strong and vital impact for years to come. And, all individuals who include Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania are invited to join our Juliette Gordon Low Legacy Society, which offers meaningful opportunities to celebrate this special connection to Girl Scouting.
