Outdoor Training Summit

Looking to step up your outdoor skills and learn valuable tools for teaching girls? Look no further than the Outdoor Training Summit, September 7-9, 2018 at Camp Redwing!

This hands-on training summit will go "Beyond the Basic 8" to help you build confidence in your outdoor skills and offer different ways to teach outdoor skills to girls of all ages. Have fun, learn new skills, and network with other volunteers through interactive activities and discussions.

Choose between different sessions depending on your interests, such as outdoor cooking, geocaching, knife skills, naturalist knowledge, First Aid/CPR training, and more!

Volunteers new to Outdoor Skills have the option to take the seven-hour Outdoor Skills Training required for all outdoor trips through GSWPA camps. First Aid/CPR and Small Craft - Canoe certification trainings will be available as blended-learning sessions.

The event will run an entire weekend from Friday evening through Sunday morning. Can’t stay for the whole weekend? Choose one of our abbreviated options, including Saturday only sessions.

Meals and snacks will be provided.

All adults attending must be approved volunteers.
