Looking for some adventure this summer? Join Laurel Highlands River Tours & Outdoor Center, Ohiopyle Trading Post, and GSWPA to go on a hike, whitewater raft, and camp at Ohiopyle State Park, then bike down the Allegheny Passage the next morning!

Join the Laurel Highlands River Tours & Outdoor Center for a morning hiking program on Leave No Trace followed by lunch. Then for the afternoon, enjoy the beauty and sheer excitement of the Lower Yough River. The seven and a half miles of Class III and IV rapids will challenge and excite, but not intimidate even the novice rafter. Highly trained and professional staff will guide you through an exciting experience that you will not soon forget.

Spend the night at Kentuck Campground at Ohiopyle State Park with tents provided by GSWPA. Then wake up bright and early to bike down the Allegheny Passage with help from the Ohiopyle Trading Post!

Meals and tents will be provided. Girls will need to bring their own sleeping bags and overnight supplies. See your event confirmation letter for a full packing list.

This adventure is brought to you by a generous grant from the R.K. Mellon Foundation.

Girls must be 13 years or older to participate.

Are you a volunteer interested in attending the Adventure Squad?  Due to limited capacity, volunteer spots will be limited to ratio and will require previous experience with girls in the outdoors.  Fill out to quick online form below if you’d like to volunteer with the Adventure Squad!
More details about all the Adventure Squad events and fun registration incentives can be found on the Adventure Squad page.
