I did multiple things to enhance the Polish heritage in the Glassport community. I aided in the Christmas party at myPNA by teaching children and adults how to make different types of traditional ornaments and by teaching the children at the party about Polish Christmas traditions. I also held a Polish egg decorating night where I taught a local Girl Scout troop and people of the community how to make traditional Pisanki eggs by melting wax and using dyes. I also taught them about other Easter traditions in the Polish community. The main part of my project was the collection of Polish artifacts, the building of two large display cases, and an opening ceremony to celebrate the opening of the cases. By displaying these artifacts, I was able to teach the future generations of the Polish Community in Glassport about their history.
