Achieve Your Goals with Booth Sales!

Booth sales are a great way to increase your team’s success. This year, booth sales start Friday, Feb. 24 and people can use the cookie locator to find a location in their area.

At Your Booth:

  • Girl Scouts are responsible for providing money for change. Do not ask the business.
  • Safeguard money and deposit money into the bank account as soon as possible after the sale.
  • Girl Scouts are responsible for bringing the table unless it is known that the business will provide. They must also bring their own chairs, pens/pencils, markers, calculator, tape, and any other sales aids.
  • Remove empty boxes and trash from area when you leave.
  • The number of cookies sold should be divided equally among the girls who participated in the booth sale.
  • Be on your very best behavior – you are the “face” of Girl Scouting.
  • All adults who will be assisting at a booth location must follow all guidelines.
  • If guidelines are not followed, the troop/group/girl will be restricted from participating at future booth sites.

To maximize success, consider these top seller tips:

  • Always smile and say thank you.
  • Wear a uniform, Girl Scout t-shirt, Girl Scout pin or cookie costume (create one or reserve one at your local Girl Scout office by calling 800-248-3355).
  • Make an attractive table display to gain customer interest.
  • Bring along your team goal poster and pictures of activities you've taken part in.
  • Visit littlebrownie.com for cookie art and other cool clip art.
  • If some varieties are not selling, open a box (which you must purchase), break them into bite-size pieces and let customers take a sample. This sample will likely spark interest!
  • To encourage multi-box purchases, bundle packages and attach recipes that use the cookies offered or handmade cards.
  • Advertise your Gift of Caring goal and organizations who will receive the donated cookies.

Please Remember: Selling Girl Scout Cookies at a booth site is a privilege granted to us by local businesses, and if abused, even unintentionally, could cause all Girl Scouts to lose the opportunity for additional sales at these locations permanently. Girls and adults need to be careful, safe and considerate of the merchant’s property and customers.
