Troop 55140

Click to see video slide show.

Girl Scout Daisy Troop 55140 is made up of 14 girl ages six and seven. When we told the girls about the cookie car contest they were very excited by the idea of entering, and ultimately seeing the crazy car pull up to school each morning and afternoon, as well as, driving around town in the car.

The girls were each asked to bring something to decorate the car. Included were magnets with the date, time and location of our booth sale, ribbons, bows, window markers, signs, posters and even a wind sock! The girls did such an amazing job and showed a wonderful amount of creativity. One of our co-leaders documented the event by taking pictures along the way. The pictures were compiled in to a video set to music.

“The Cookie Store” - Troop 22160 from Dubois

Troop 22160

A very kind local businessman donated his property to Troop 22160, of Dubois, PA, to use to sell cookies for two weeks. We had had 3,900 to sort and sell. We gave him a case of cookies as a thank you.

The word got out and we did a steady business (some days better then others). People saw the phone number when we weren't there and called us to place orders and arrange for pick up. The storfront also served as a place where the girls door-to-door customers could come to pick up their orders. It saved us a lot of running around town and the customers actually bought more cookies since we had all so many at the store.

We also did a booth sale there on one of the days and despite the cold that day, sold about 50 boxes. All together in 2-weeks we sold about 300 extra boxes of cookies. Pretty good for limited advertising and time spent at the store.
