On the Calendar page, select “program series” and sort by your grade, date or even zip code. What’s best about being in a Series Pathway, it’s easy to find similar program themes—that may be of interest to you—on the S’MORE Facebook page.
Girl Scouts Series Highlights
Girl Scouts FIRST Robotics is being offered council-wide for the 2010-11 membership year as a “series program” that invites girls to participate in teams. FIRST is an organization dedicated to “inspiring young people to be science and technology leaders by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills.” FIRST recognizes the importance of developing girls’ courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place through engagement in hands-on engineering and science programs.
GSWPA is recruiting enthusiastic, quick-learning volunteer coaches for our Robotics program. Free training as a LEGO Robotics Coach will be provided so that traveling labs can be conducted in all parts of our council area.
