The Girl Scout Forever Green Take Action Project honors founder Juliette Gordon Low's love of nature and the outdoors. Girl Scouts across the country will lead their families, schools and communities in protecting our resources by reducing plastic waste, participating in Earth Hour, building rain gardens or developing a project of their own design.
These nationwide Take Action projects offers a meaningful leadership experience that positively impacts the environment and increases visibility of Girl Scouts' commitment to environmental stewardship. Girl Scouts and the community at large are invited to take the online Girl Scouts Forever Green Pledge, a 360 degree commitment to saving energy and water, enhancing green space, reducing plastic and spreading the word.
Participants are encouraged to enter specific data about their projects on the Girl Scouts Forever Green website throughout the year.
