Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania joins Girl Scouts around the country to make the world a better place as we celebrate Girl Scout Week and the 98th anniversary of Girl Scouts from March 7-13. More than three million girls in the United States and more than 35,000 girls in Western Pennsylvania are discovering their path to leadership through Girl Scouts.

Pittsburgh, PA – The increased scrutiny of the fashion industry and its use of ultra-thin models isn’t without validation, as nearly 9 in 10 American teenage girls say that the fashion industry is at least partially responsible for “girls’ obsession with being skinny,” according to a national survey released this month by the Girl Scouts of the USA.

Little Brownie Bakers recently received a few contacts from consumers informing us of an off taste and smell from certain packages of Lemon Chalet Crème cookies. We immediately took the precautionary step of testing product samples. We determined that while the cookies are safe for consumers to eat, they are not up to our quality standards.

Girl Scout Cookie Sale Raises Funds For Haiti Earthquake Relief Efforts
Making the world a better place is central to the Girl Scout mission.
