Making the world a better place is central to the Girl Scout mission. This year, as our world neighbors help the people of Haiti recover from a catastrophic earthquake, Girl Scouts have the opportunity to set a special cookie goal and designate a portion of their sale proceeds to go toward many of the relief efforts.

A nationwide survey released December 2, 2009 by Girl Scouts of the USA finds that more American teenagers say they would make responsible decisions on a range of issues from lying and cheating to smoking and drinking than young people just a generation ago.
