The Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania’s alumnae association will be holding a social event on Thursday, December 4 from 6-8 p.m. at Shakespeare’s Restaurant & Pub.
Girl Scout Advocacy Network
At the 2008 National Council Session, Girl Scouts launched its first ever Girl Scouts grassroots network www.girlscouts4girls.org. Over 1,000 Girl Scout members, volunteers, staff and alumnae joined the Girl Scouts Advocacy Network to act on issues moving through Congress and the state legislatures that are important to girls and Girl Scouts. This was a great start, but we need ALL Girl Scout staff, friends and supporters to become a part of this important effort.

Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania Board Member, Margaree Pertle, Chair of the 2008 Awards of Distinction Dinner has announced the 2008 Woman of Distinction, Michele Bononi and the 2008 Corporation of Distinction is Giant Eagle, Inc., honoree, Edward Michalek.
Tour de Tamarack
The 15th Annual Tour de Tamarack is scheduled for Sunday, August 31, at Oakgrove Park in Meadville. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The first race starts at 9 a.m. cost is $25. Proceeds benefit Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania.
Girl Scouts Alumnae Host Camp Redwing Retreat
Former Girl Scouts can remember their camping experience with a retreat to Camp Redwing hosted by Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania’s Alumnae Association. The retreat will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008 at Camp Redwing located near Butler, PA.
