Girl Scouts Host 13th Annual Idlewild Girl Scout Day and Camporee
Greensburg, PA - Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania invites girls and their families to the 13th Annual Idlewild Girl Scout Day and Camporee at Idlewild & Soak Zone™ in Ligonier, PA. The Camporee will be held Sun. June 26 – Mon. June 27, 2011.
Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania Hosts Volunteer Appreciation Picnics
Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania (GSWPA) will host a series of Volunteer Appreciation Picnics throughout the council during the months of June and July.
GSWPA Hosts AMAZE Conference for Teen Girls
Clarion, PA – Girls in grades 6-8 are invited to attend Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania’s AMAZE Conference. This day-long event is designed to empower girls to develop positive, healthy relationships and connect with their peers. Girls will also have the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions on topics like cyber relationships, bullying and cliques, stereotyping and peer pressure.

Join Honorary Chair, Joyce Murtha, to honor the community’s leaders at the 34th Annual Girl Scout Awards of Distinction Dinner on Monday, May 2 at 6 p.m. at the Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown. Tickets and sponsorships are still available.
GSWPA Hiring for Summer Camp Positions
Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania (GSWPA) is seeking outgoing individuals, with a desire to work outdoors, for employment opportunities at summer camp. GSWPA camps are: Camp Elliott in Lawrence County; Camp Redwing in Butler County; Camp Hawthorne Ridge in Erie County; Camp Conshatawba in Cambria County; Camp Skymeadow in Armstrong County; and Camp Singing Hills in Venango County.

Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania’s Cookie Program is in full gear, with booth sales starting on Feb. 25 and lasting through March 13. All eight varieties of Girl Scout Cookies are being sold for $3.50 a box.

Exceptional females will be honored in two categories: Woman of Distinction and Girl of Distinction.
