Local Troops Demonstrates Super Selling Strategies

Troops 44003 from Manns Choice, 40078 from Johnstown, 30715 from Tionesta, 10301 from New Castle, 53548 from Washington, 50999 from Cheswick and 30200 and 30353, both from Erie, were identified by Secret Shoppers for holding successful booth sales during the 2010 Girl Scout Cookie Sale program.

The troops were recognized for demonstrating excellent marketing, customer service and booth management skills. Girls were scored on their creative marketing ideas, communication of their goal for this year’s cookie sale and knowledge of the product.
By teaching entrepreneurship and financial literacy, the Girl Scout cookie program has helped make Girl Scouting the world's best leadership experience for girls. And the local community benefits directly as well, since most troops reinvest a portion of their cookie proceeds in service projects that meet specific community needs. Most important, girls have fun as they learn to become leaders of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.
