Do you want to be a volunteer with Girl Scouts, but don’t have a lot of time in your schedule? Is your daughter no longer a Girl Scout, but you still would love to be involved and make a difference? Become a Series Advisor! Starting in February and March the Be a Friend First (BFF) series will start in middle schools throughout Western PA. This series will focus on the aMAZE Journey. You will be trained and given the curriculum to run the series in the schools 1 hour per week for 8 weeks. This is a great program for girls which is completely grant funded! What does that mean for you? You will have your membership for this membership year and any other clearances the school requires covered. Contact Brittney Shatto, bshatto@gswpa.org to get involved today.

Girl Scouts offers many ways for girls to participate; in troops, at camp, as and Indie (Individual) Girl, in programs, series or at events. Volunteers are needed so we are able to open the door for all the possibilities a girl can dream of. Volunteering with Girl Scouts doesn’t need to be a long commitment. You can volunteer for a single event, a week at camp, helping an Indy Girl, in an 8 week series, at a cookie booth, chaperoning a trip with the L.I.F.T. program or working with a troop. The possibilities are endless! We will help you find the right opportunity that fits into your schedule and interests. Please consider volunteering today. There is greatness in every girl. YOU can help her find it.

To help find the volunteer opportunity right for you please contact volunteer@gswpa.org or fill out the Volunteer Application Packet to get started today!
