Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania’s, Fall/Winter issue of S’MORE magazine is now in the homes of all registered Girl Scouts in 27 counties of Western Pennsylvania. From beads to biotech; ecology to economics; relaxation to recreation and service to style, S’MORE is full of all the good stuff in Girl Scouting!
This 96-page full-color publication contains hundreds of event listings, road trips and overnights in addition to articles written by girl contributors. New Forums like the Family Tree, featuring pieces of interest to girls and their families; SWAPS, a collection of tips and stories for girls by girls; and Camp Like A Girl, highlighting the troop camping experience - provide fun and practical resources for the girls of Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania.
In the spotlight are Girls Who do Great Things, Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania’s Gold Award recipients. Council shop sales information, details on the Basics in a Bag promo and new shop items are featured in the shop spread. Inspect the 2009 MagNut Program, GSI: Unlock the Mystery and check out samples of products and incentives.
This issue offers Girl Scout volunteers two seasons of learning opportunities in The Learning Post, plus a wealth of ideas to prepare for the upcoming year. S’MORE provides volunteers with resources like ceremonies, recipes and games and a listing of upcoming Town Hall meetings.
All girls in grades K-12 are invited to write articles for S’MORE and to become part of Girl Scouting.
