Fall FoodShare Food Drive Focuses on the 2010 Thinking Day Theme

Girl Scouts are focusing on the 2010 Thinking Day theme, Together, we can end extreme poverty and hunger! by helping to mark the 10th anniversary of the Fall FoodShare Food Drive. By connecting and taking action with Giant Eagle and their local food banks, Girl Scouts are collecting food for needy families in the community.

The Fall FoodShare Food Drive will take place two weekends this year starting Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1 and concluding the following weekend Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8. Saturday times will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with Sunday times from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All sign-ups for the Fall FoodShare will take place through the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank website:www.pittsburghfoodbank.org/volunteer. All participating Giant Eagles throughout Western Pennsylvania will be listed at the above website.
