Mar 22, 2011 Posted in Newsroom, Press Releases

Girls in grades 6-12 are invited to Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania’s premier teen leadership conference, It’s Your Future–Dream It! This day-long event is designed to empower girls, expose them to new ideas, and equip them with the skills necessary to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Laura Miller, founder of the Secret Agent L (SAL) Project, will serve as the day’s keynote speaker. Miller’s SAL project performs random acts of kindness. The SAL Project has blossomed into an international phenomenon of anonymous acts of kindness, with over 1,600 affiliated agents all over the world.

Girls will participate in two, one-hour workshops and one, two-hour workshop. Workshops will offer opportunities to celebrate True Beauty, reveal real Media Messages, Cook Up A Storm in the kitchen, Kick It with self-defense and more!

The It’s Your Future–Dream It! Conference for teen girls will be held on Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Robert Morris University, 6001 University Blvd., Moon Township, PA 15108.
