GSWPA Hosts AMAZE Conference for Teen Girls

Clarion, PA – Girls in grades 6-8 are invited to attend Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania’s AMAZE Conference. This day-long event is designed to empower girls to develop positive, healthy relationships and connect with their peers. Girls will also have the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions on topics like cyber relationships, bullying and cliques, stereotyping and peer pressure.

Kristin Durniok, Miss Wheelchair Pennsylvania, will serve as the day’s keynote speaker. Durniok is currently a Housing Coordinator for the Attendant Care Program at United Cerebral Palsy of Pittsburgh. She works to empower individuals with disabilities to live independently and has been active in several charitable endeavors throughout her reign.

The AMAZE Conference will be held on Monday, April 25, 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at Clarion University’s Gemmel Student Complex, 840 Wood Street, Clarion, PA, 16214.
