In partnership with the University of Pittsburgh Women’s Basketball Team, Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania presents Game On! Girl Scouts from across western Pennsylvania will learn about good sportsmanship and balancing healthy lifestyles through a series of fun activities including a cheer and dance clinic, on-court contests and interactive games. Then, girls and their families are invited to cheer on the Pitt Women’s Basketball Team as they take on 2009 National Champs, UCONN.
Girl Scout Study Finds That More Youth Today Say They Would Make Responsible Choices than Predecesso
A nationwide survey released December 2, 2009 by Girl Scouts of the USA finds that more American teenagers say they would make responsible decisions on a range of issues from lying and cheating to smoking and drinking than young people just a generation ago.
GSWPA has completed the ten month program and property assessment of its 13 council owned camps and leased outdoor program facilities.

In January 2009, Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania (GSWPA) began an assessment of its thirteen council-owned camps as well as leased outdoor program facilities in order to determine if these sites were — now or in the future — able to meet the outdoor recreational needs of the over 35,000 girl members in grades K-12 in its 27-county jurisdiction.
