LiveHealthy! LeadHealthy!
Every girl deserves to live a healthy life—emotionally and physically. Whether they're working towards such earned grade-level awards as the Eat Right, Stay Healthy Try-It or the Stress Less Badge, or talking with leaders or advisors about issues of concern in their lives or in their communities, Girl Scouts build the skills they need to keep their bodies healthy, their minds engaged and their spirits alive.
Here are some resources for Girl Scout volunteers to encourage girls to achieve balance and learn to live well:
Fit’s Inn Facilitator Guide - Brownie
Fits Inn Facilitators Guide - Juniors
The Anatomy of Cool - Resource from the Media Awareness Network helps reinforce the idea that the best kind of cool comes from inside.
GoGirlGo! - Sponsored by the Women's Sports Foundation teaches girls in grades 3-8 about health-risk behaviors and other issues such as body image, bullying, drugs, and stress.
Inspire a Girl with Self-Esteem! This Self-Esteem Toolkit from Dove includes conversation starters, activities and in-depth guides and tools. Just one hour of your time can make a world of difference.
Many council programs are designed to help girls achieve balance and a sense of well-being in her life. Check out what’s available, and go to our events calendar page to register for an upcoming event.
