GSWPA At-Home Activities for Girls

We've been so excited to see how you're continuing Girl Scouts while you’re at home. Send pictures and videos of your girls working on virtual activities to or on Facebook messenger. We’ll be sharing your pictures and videos on our social media channels, and you can, too! Use #CantStopGirlScouts.

Patch Programs

Bring the exploration, fun, and learning of Girl Scouts to your family or troop even when circumstances are keeping Girl Scouts from meeting in person. Use our self-guided PDFs or virtual patch program videos to keep your girl, your troop, and your community connected.

GSWPA Spirit Celebration - September

We love being Girl Scouts, and we’re proud, too! Share it with the world around you by participating in the GSWPA Girl Scout Spirit Celebration from Sept. 1-30. 

Snap photos as you complete activities from the 2020 GSWPA Spirit Celebration Make New Friends Challenge! The first 200 GSWPA Girl Scouts who share their photos and complete the form will receive the 2020 Girl Scout Spirit patch—for FREE!

Spring/Summer Get Outdoors Challenge

Download the spring/summer activity checklist. Complete the required number of activities for your level between April 15 and September 30, 2020. After completing the activities for your level, girls and adults can register to purchase their Get Outdoors Challenge main patch or unique spring/summer patch for $4 from September 15-September 30, 2020.

Adventure Squad

Adventure Squad is about exploring, and our new Squad Series is a unique way for Girl Scouts to discover more than ever before—and earn badges! 

Squad Series

From new friends and interests to the world around them, girls will enjoy hands-on learning led by our expert staff throughout a series of get-togethers. Squad series begin Fall 2020 and include topics such as:

Camp Creepy

Camp Creepy

A council fall-favorite goes virtual! Join us on Friday, Oct. 23 and Saturday, Oct. 24 for some fa-boo-lous fun that includes caramel apples, crafts, campfire meals, and a costume contest! Our annual Camp Creepy events are being recreated as an online experience with the safety of our members and staff in mind and out of an abundance of caution. Fear not, this will be a fun-filled weekend with our Girl Scout sisters!

No Man's Land Film Festival

Join us on an ultimate virtual adventure on Oct. 10 – the No Man’s Land Film Festival

This festival is all about how girls and women carry a tremendous intensity, passion, grit, genius, and drive in the outdoors and beyond. This event will include:

  • topics such as inclusion, diversity, equality, power dynamics, race, gender, and more in the outdoors
  • a panel from women in adventure who are doing incredible things to answer questions submitted by Girl Scouts,
  • interactive activities with our camp directors Rosie and Zelda,
  • trivia,
  • and so much more!

Community Service

GSWPA Service Day, September 26:
As part of our month-long Girl Scout spirit celebration in September, Saturday, September 26 will be GSWPA Service Day. Girl Scouts of all ages can make an impact in a big way by coming together as a council to benefit our local communities across western Pennsylvania. Plan a project with your troop, friends, and family; gather needed supplies; and share your plans with us! Check out some ideas for your project.

Hometown Heroes:
Send a sweet thank you by donating Girl Scout Cookies to the people in your community helping to keep us safe! 

Spread Kindness:
Kindness Challenge: Record a video with an encouraging message, get-well message, or ways we can support each other during this time. 

Make a thank you video for frontline workers who are serving your community during this time. Submit to us via Facebook Messenger or by emailing

Write, draw, or send a message to a Girl Scout sister to share something you like about her.
