Girl Scout Day at the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium 09-15-19

Mark your calendars for one wild time! The Girl Scouts are taking over the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium. Join us for a day of fun activities with your favorite animals, Girl Scout-only events, and the Girl Scout Pop-up shop will be on site. Stop by to see the selection of girl scout merchandise and novelties!

• Learn about many animals including 22 threatened and endangered species.
• Attend special feedings and animal demos.
• Visit the Girl Scout pop-up shop to stock up on gear for fall.

All Girl Scouts will receive a special Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium patch. Sweet!

*Detailed schedule with times will be posted closer to the date.

*This is a rain or shine event. Girls must attend with a troop or parent/guardian.

If you have a family membership to the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium, you will have a reduced registration of $1 per person entering on the zoo membership. Click here for more Information.

Advanced registration deadline is 09-11-19.
Day of registration will be $15 for all participants.

If you have a child that is 2-3 years old, please call Customer Care at 1-800-248-3355 to register them.

Lion Overlook: 10am - 2pm . . . . . .. Examine tiger fur, an elephant tusk, and a rhino horn to learn more about endangered species.
Working Wild: 11am - 2pm . . . . . .. Learn more about clouded leopards and take the pledge to save the rainforest. Classroom

Giraffe Overlook: 11am - 12:30pm....Special giraffe photos (you must be in line by 12:15pm)
Education Complex: 11am - Noon . . ..
Monarch Madness · Learn about the monarch butterfly, tag a monarch (tagging & 1-2pm activity is for Girl Scouts only, while supplies last), and meet animal ambassadors. Bring your cameras!

Water’s Edge: 11am ...........Polar bear feeding (in the water)
Water’s Edge: 12:30pm.........Sea otter feeding
Water’s Edge: 1pm ............Northern elephant seal feeding
Kids Kingdom: 1:30pm .........Beaver feeding · See the beaver kits (born May 30) swimming in their exhibit

ENRICHMENT ACTIVITY:  treats and toys for the animals

The Islands: 11:30am.........Clouded leopard enrichment & Meet the Keeper
