POSITION: Volunteer Manager
Reports to: Regional Director
Location: Pittsburgh
General Statement of Duties: responsible for developing and executing recruitment and retention strategies to increase and support volunteers
Essential Functions:
• Design and implement a comprehensive plan for volunteer growth in targeted areas by researching market data, membership trends, and other pertinent information relevant to designated geographic areas;
• Coordinate the availability of support services to enable volunteers to carry out the responsibilities of their positions effectively;
• Seek opportunities to engage and cultivate relationships with community organizations, agencies and leaders, educators and faith-based institutions to increase awareness of and participation in Girl Scouting;
• Support troop and volunteers to work effectively with girls in assigned areas to ensure delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience through program and services to girls;
• Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of volunteer leads generated and converted in order to meet goals;

Minimum of 2 years college level degree in related field or equivalent professional work experience; minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience managing staff and volunteers; candidate must be self-motivated and self-disciplined, have strong marketing and people skills, have excellent organization and communication skills, and the ability to work evenings and weekends; must have valid transportation and be able to travel throughout Western PA; clearances required; EOE

POSITION: Program Manager - Outreach
Reports to: Regional Vice President
Location: Pittsburgh
General Statement of Duties: responsible for recruiting and retaining, through excellent program delivery and customer service, the girl and adult membership in assigned geographic areas.
Essential Functions:
• Develop, implement and assign programing that meets the leadership metrics for the Girl Scouting Experience in the assigned programs;
• Seeks out, establishes and sustains relationships with community organizations and program partnerships;
• Recruits, trains and manages casual staff or volunteers for the effective delivery of program;
• Coordinates and maintains budgets to ensure adherence to approved program for girls and other guidelines;
• Develops and supports volunteer advisory committees and groups;

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field; candidate must be self-motivated and self-disciplined, have strong marketing and people skills, have excellent organization and communication skills, and the ability to work evenings and weekends; must have valid transportation and be able to travel throughout Western PA; clearances required; EOE

POSITION: Part-time Leadership Facilitator
Hours: 10-15 hrs/wk
Location: V
General Statement of Duties: looking for individuals to work with girls in various school districts in Erie; responsible for delivering and overseeing all aspects of the assigned progressive Girl Scout leadership program; program delivery occurs but is not limited to: in-school, afterschool, summer, weekends, and evenings;

Essential Functions:
• work with girls to design and deliver programming that is girl led and encompasses empowering activities that are relevant to the girls’ lives;
• coordinate and implement leadership activities and outings that may include but are not limited to camping retreats, cultural outings, and community projects, as well as Girl Scout product sales/fundraising activities;
• schedule guest speakers relevant to girl topics;
• work closely with children, parents, school liaisons and agencies;
• train and oversee volunteers which may include but is not limited to parents & university/college students;
• oversee financial transactions and budgets;

Bachelors in Education or related field; Applicants must have experience working with large groups of at risk girls in grades 6-8 and/or 9-12; reliable personal transportation & valid driver’s license a must; current clearances required; excellent communication skills; $12-$15 per hour; EOE

Camp locations are: Camp Redwing in Butler County; Camp Hawthorne Ridge in Erie County; Camp Conshatawba in Cambria County; Camp Skymeadow in Armstrong County; and Camp Singing Hills in Venango County.
