Training Programs
All volunteers will receive training for their position and be required to complete any additional mandatory trainings for their position within a specified time frame. Training will ensure that each volunteer has the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in her/his work. Adult Learning Opportunities can be completed in a classroom setting, online, as a webinar, or as a self-study guide.
New! Trainings by Request
- Trainings by Request (26.3 KB)
GSWPA sees the need to customize your trainings for Journeys, grade levels and more, so let us come to you for your group trainings!
You can gather several service units and hold one training for the full benefit of group interaction, face-to-face and learning at its best! You are in the driver’s seat and can plan as many or little Training by Request sessions. We’ll provide the facilitator, supplies and location, while you provide the audience – new and seasoned adults who need to learn. Gather 10 volunteers, consider possible locations, dates and times and submit to adulttraining@gswpa.org.
