Cookie Info for Parents
Cookies make things happen for Girl Scouts!
Girl Scouting and Girl Scout Cookies go hand-in-hand. The Girl Scout Cookie Program teaches girls Important Financial Literacy Skills, as well as basic business skills -- including goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
These skills don't just benefit girls while they're selling Girl Scout Cookies. They build on each of these skills throughout their time in Girl Scouts -- and naturally apply what they learn to their lives.
Girl Scout Cookies go digital!
This Girl Scout Cookie season, hungry shoppers can purchase Girl Scout cookies where they never could before—online! GSWPA is participating in Digital Cookie, a first-of-its-kind web platform that lets girls sell cookies from their own protected, personalized websites.
How does my Girl Scout get started with Digital Cookie?
Emails have been sent to the parents of registered girls (those that GSWPA has in the membership database) inviting them to register their girl for Digital Cookie. Parents must agree to the terms and conditions to register their girl for Digital Cookie, and approve their girl's personalized page if under 13. All of this is done through email, so the parent must have an active email account in order for their girl to participate in Digital Cookie. If you did not receive an invitation to Digital Cookie, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once registered, the girl can set up her home page (requires parent approval if under 13) and customize it with her goal, photos and much more. Girls at all levels are also able to work on Digital Cookie badges directly from their home page!
Is your daughter new to Girl Scouts? Then she's a Cookie Rookie!
She's on her way to learning through the country's largest business and economic literacy program just for girls.
