Family Partnership FAQs

Q: What is Family Partnership?

A: Family Partnership is an organized, Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania (GSWPA) council-wide request for financial contributions from our Girl Scout families to help underwrite the cost of providing the Girl Scout Program to every girl member in our Council. It is a way for parents, guardians and adult Girl Scouts to tangibly share the value and experience of Girl Scouting with every interested girl.

Q: What does my contribution to Family Partnership support?

A: A Family Partnership contribution benefits girls in need of financial assistance and resources. It also supplies our council with assistance for volunteer recruitment and support services, troop organization, camp operation and maintenance, volunteer training and resources, development of new activities for girls, financial assistance, and much more!

Q: Why should I give?

A: Girl Scouts is the premiere leadership organization for girls. We are girl centric and girl led. With the support of families through our Family Partnership program, we will have the resources needed to provide amazing leadership opportunities for our girls.

Q: How much should I give?

A: Please give what feels right. We know that everyone has organizations that they support. We are asking that Girl Scouts be in your top three. We appreciate whatever you can do for Girl Scouts. Giving is a personal decision. Please give what you can and know your investment allows us to do more for your daughter and thousands of other girls who deserve amazing leadership experiences.

Q: How can I give?

A: Remember to make you Family Partnership gift as you renew your membership or sign up as a new member online.
