Workplace & Corporate Giving

United Way/Funds
Employees at
certain companies and organizations can donate to charities of their
choice, including GSWPA, through their local United Way’s Annual
Giving Campaign.
Matching Gifts
Many employers will match the charitable
contributions of its employees, retirees and sometimes even spouses,
so your gift to GSWPA could go even further. See
a list of businesses and corporations that currently participate
or check with your HR representative for more information. Is your
company not on the list? Contact Fund Development at donate@gswpa.org to find out how
your company can participate in matching gifts.
Volunteer Matching Grants
Some employers will “match”
employee volunteer hours at GSWPA with a monetary donation. Check with
your HR representative to see if your company participates. Need to
submit a volunteer matching gift request? Complete this form.

For Businesses and Corporations
Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC)
Your business can significantly reduce its state tax liability
while supporting Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania’s Educational
Initiatives. Any business that pays Pennsylvania taxes is qualified
and the process is simple. EITC funds enable Girl Scouts to partner
with school districts and community groups to offer girls the
opportunity to enhance their academic experience, improve scholastic
performance and obtain leadership skills.

Event Sponsorships
We invite corporations to partner with us by becoming a
2015-2016 sponsor. Sponsors will be showcased in yearlong activities
and at our signature regional corporate events in Pittsburgh,
Johnstown and Erie. Sponsorship recognition includes but is not
limited to the following and can be customized to meet your specific
needs. Learn more.
Program Partnerships and Mentorships
We actively seek partnerships with businesses and corporations,
working in tandem to create educational and interactive curriculums in:

Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)

Health Living

Middle School Series

Rural Scouting

Urban Scouting
Equally important to program development is the mentoring component. Employees will present program material as experts in their fields and provide real world examples of individuals who have made this material part of their careers. This partnership in action is a way for corporations to open a world of possibilities for girls who might not otherwise get the opportunity to have these programmatic experiences.
