Just like girls in a troop, Indie Girl Scouts can earn badges and Journey awards. To help girls along the way, Indie Girl Scout caregivers have access to the Volunteer Toolkit (VTK).

The VTK is a digital portal where Indie Girl Scouts and their caregivers can access resources and instructions for earning badges, Journeys, and awards to take her Girl Scout experience to the next level! Check out the Volunteer Toolkit User Guide for Indie Girl Scouts for step-by-step instructions to get started. To access the VTK, click on MYGS, log in to your account, then select Volunteer Toolkit from the navigation.

What Indie Girl Scouts are Doing
Indie Girl Scout and Gold Award Girl Scout, Jillian Fishell, won the 2023 Girl Scouts of the USA Gold Award Scholarship for our council for her project, My Turn to Tri Training Program.
Together, Indie Girl Scouts sisters Nina and Illy sold over 5,000 boxes of cookies in the 2022 Girl Scout Cookie Program funding seven trips to Girl Scout summer camp!
Indie Girl Scout Pamelah was presented with a citation at a Sharpsburg Council meeting for stepping outside her comfort zone and selling 2,200 packages of cookies in the 2024 Girl Scout Cookie Program.
