Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania is all about sharing the fun, friendship, and power of girls and women together. We are committed to helping all girls and adults participate in Girl Scouting regardless of their family's income.
To encourage participation, our council makes funds available each membership year to provide financial assistance to troop leaders for adult membership and to girls for girl membership, to attend council activities, and to obtain uniform pieces.
Financial assistance for membership is awarded based on the income guidelines of the National School Lunch Program. Awarding financial assistance is also subject to the availability of funds within council's operating budget.

Once your girl has been approved for financial assistance, she will also qualify for financial assistance towards basic uniform pieces, including a sash, council ID, troop numbers (or Juliette patch for Indie Girl Scouts), and flag.
Financial aid is available for uniforms, even if you’ve paid for your membership. Requests for these items can be made by completing this Financial Aid Uniform Order Form, contacting council at 800-248-3355, or emailing customercare@gswpa.org. Girl Scout membership fees are sent to Girl Scouts of the USA and cannot be refunded. Our retail shops will fulfill these requests/orders, subject to the availability of funds.
