Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania text messages are intended to provide you with marketing and promotional information related to our council and other information about Girl Scout programs, meetings, and/or events. The Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania SMS Program (“SMS Program”) is a messaging program that delivers automated text messages sent from 8002483355, which may include:
Marketing alerts and announcements
Meeting information or reminders
Product or service updates
Important date reminders
Not all messages are advertising in nature.
2. Consent

By opting in, you provide prior express written consent to receive SMS messages from Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania at the mobile number you provide:

You agree that Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania may, through third-party service providers, send you messages using an automatic telephone dialing system (ATDS) or similar technology.

Consent is collected and maintained in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), FCC regulations, and applicable Pennsylvania law governing telemarketing text messages.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to supersede, waive, or limit any rights or protections available to consumers under applicable state law. To the extent these Terms conflict with applicable state law, such state law shall control.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies, but you can expect to receive up to 4 messages per week, depending on promotions, important dates, and engagement.

Message and data rates may apply to each text message sent or received, in addition to any applicable roaming charges. Charges are billed by and payable to your wireless carrier as provided in your mobile telephone service rate plan. Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania does not impose a separate fee for your participation in its SMS Program; however, you are responsible for any fees imposed by your mobile carrier of any kind whatsoever.
5. Opt‑Out
You may cancel your participation in this SMS Program at any time by texting STOP to 800-248-3355. If you cancel, you will receive one final confirmation message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. No further marketing messages will be sent unless you re‑opt in.

7. Carriers
It is your responsibility to determine if your mobile carrier supports text messaging and if your mobile device is capable of receiving text messages. Your receipt of text messages from Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania is subject to the terms and conditions of your agreement(s) with your mobile carrier. Our SMS Program messages are currently supported by AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most major U.S. wireless carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Delivery of information and content to a mobile device may fail due to a variety of circumstances or conditions. You understand and acknowledge that network services, including but not limited to mobile network services, are outside of Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania’s control, and Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania is not responsible or liable for issues arising from such network services (e.g., delayed or undelivered messages or the security of any messages).
8. Timing of Messages
Messages will be sent only between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time, unless you have expressly consented to receiving messages outside that window, in accordance with Pennsylvania telemarketing laws.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us.
Your mobile number is used only in connection with this SMS Program.
We do not sell your mobile number or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes without your consent.

10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time with or without notice to you. Unless we indicate otherwise, modifications will be effective as of the date they are posted on this page or any successor page and supersede any prior Terms. Your continued participation in the SMS Program following any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you wish to opt-out of receiving communications from Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania under the updated Terms, you may opt-out as described in Section 5 above.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws principles.
This SMS Program is intended to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Telemarketer Registration Act (TRA), FCC regulations, and state telemarketing and consumer‑protection laws. Messaging practices, timing, and content may vary as required by the laws of the recipient’s state of residence.
