Who's got Buck Fever and is ready for a Full Moon Kayak tour with our partner's at L.L. Bean? Discover the beauty of nature at night as you paddle through calm waters under the glow of July's Full Moon, known as the "Buck Moon," that gets its name from deer antlers being in full growth this time of year. This special full moon event will surely enhance the beauty of these secluded waters and create a truly memorable adventure.

After a short paddling demonstration, experienced guides from L.L. Bean will lead participants on a revealing tour, sharing interesting facts about the area's history and the surrounding landscape. As the moon rises higher in the sky, we'll start to see the fascinating wildlife that emerges when the sun sets, and stop along the way to view the full moon and the beauty of nature.

Please note that L.L. Bean discourages using headlamps while out on the water for the best star viewing. Each participant will be given a glow stick to make them visible in the dark.

Please come prepared with weather- and activity-appropriate clothing (preferably synthetic). Make sure to wear activity-appropriate shoes and possible bring an extra pair in case your shoes get wet. Bring a day pack and at least one quart of water (no glass bottles, please). Also make sure to bring any personal prescriptions, such as EpiPen or inhaler. And, of course, don't forget insect repellent.

***Adult supervision for the duration of the event is required. Girls must attend with a parent/guardian or troop leaders (following ratio). All attending adults must register and pay. This allows us to confirm ample space and supervision in advance of the event. No tagalongs permitted.***
