Daisy's, Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes, along with their Troop
Leaders and caregivers, are invited to take part in a super fun and
educational event at the GSWPA's Building in Johnstown!! This two-hour
"DNA how it functions in nature" class will be led by
University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown's Professor of Biology, Jill
Henning, who has a PhD in Infectious Diseases.
Discussions
before and after each experiment will be had to better understand what
happened during each step and why, and how it pertains to
Biology.
Each Girl Scout will also receive a Science Fun
Patch!
Location: Johnstown, PA
Daisy's,
Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, and their Troop leaders and caregivers
are invited to get hands on experience by making your own DNA beaded
necklace. In the process, you will better understand what exactly DNA
is and how it functions in nature. The discussions will be relatable
to the girls by explaining what color pairings in the beads
represent.
