Daisy's, Brownies, and Juniors are invited to take part in a fun
event which will enable Girl Scouts to become aware of their feelings
and the feelings of others. They will develop better relationship
skills, be better able to resolve conflicts, and be more aware,
considerate, and caring to others! This class will discuss the main
parts of a flower and will make their own, edible flower to enjoy.
Each Girl Scout will also earn a flower fun patch.
Location:
Greensburg, PA
After reciting the Girl Scout Promise, Girls will
break up into groups and role play different scenarios and then
discuss how to be considerate to others. They will brainstorm feelings
with one another.
This will then lead into our "Flower
Power" portion which will educate the girls on various parts of a
flower and where they will make their own edible flower with snack
parts that are provided. A "snack chat" will then ensure
where they will talk about their feelings from the earlier portion
then have time to eat their "flowers."
