Come discover 85 years of incredible history, art and architecture
housed inside the beautiful Heinz Memorial Chapel at the University of
Pitt and earn a special patch while doing it!! Participants will tour
this amazing historical and cultural gem situated in the heart of
Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood.
Planning on heading to
the annual special Girl Scouts performance of the Pittsburgh Ballet's
Nutcracker? This tour could be a great morning addition to make it a
day of fun in Pittsburgh.
Participants will connect with
historical figures and neo-gothic architecture while earning a special
Heinz Memorial Chapel patch that includes activities like a scavenger
hunt where they seek out a volcano, Halley's comet, the Mona Lisa and
more.
***Adult supervision for the duration of the event
is required. Girls must attend with a parent/guardian or troop leaders
(following ratio). All attending adults must register. This allows us
to confirm ample space and supervision in advance of the event. No
tagalongs permitted.***
