Who's ready to get away from it all and feel like you're hundreds of
miles away from civilization? Come explore the lagoons at one of the
Pennsylvania's most diverse state parks by kayak on a two-hour guided
tour that features wildlife, wetlands, unique natural habitats and
some of the best scenic waterways Pennsylvania has to offer.
Experience something special! Get away from it all and immerse
yourself in nature. Learn about the local wildlife and ecology of the
Presque Isle area, as well as its fascinating history - all while
witnessing the world undisturbed.
Following a short
lesson on kayaking basics, participants will be led on a guided tour
through the lagoons of Presque Isle State Park. This National Natural
Landmark is a favorite spot for migrating birds - including eagles.
Because of the many unique habitats, Presque Isle contains a greater
number of the state's endangered, threatened, and rare species than
any other area of comparable size in Pennsylvania.
***Adult supervision for the duration of the event is required. Girls
must attend with a parent/guardian or troop leaders (following ratio).
All attending adults must register. This allows us to confirm ample
space and supervision in advance of the event. No tagalongs
permitted.***
