W-Hoo's ready for a fun nighttime winter adventure in search of W-HOO
comes out in the dark?
Join L.L.Bean's knowledgeable
instructors on a unique winter night hike on Valentine's Day in search
of whooooo whoooo? Owls of course! Participants are sure to "have
a hoot" hiking and making calls to the owls in hopes for
responses back, all while keeping their eyes peeled for these
nocturnal animals that are both beautiful and mysterious.
Please come prepared with weather- and activity-appropriate clothing
(preferably synthetic). Dressing in multiple layers allows more
flexibility to comfortably respond to the weather conditions and your
exertion levels. Make sure to where activity-appropriate closed-toed
shoes and bring a day pack and at least one quart of water (no glass
bottles, please). Also make sure to bring any personal prescriptions,
such as EpiPen or inhaler. Headlamps will be available but feel free
to bring your own!
***Adult supervision for the duration
of the event is required. Girls must attend with a parent/guardian or
troop leaders (following ratio). All attending adults must register
and pay. This allows us to confirm ample space and supervision in
advance of the event. No tagalongs permitted.***
