Everything changes when the Sun goes down and the Moon rises high in
the night sky.
Join us on this special guided hike and
experience the trail in a whole new light - of the full Moon - and
discover the fascinating nightlife of nocturnal animals. And our
guiding light will be the May Full Moon - also known as the Flower
Moon!!!
On this memorable adventure, L.L.Bean guides will
teach you how to properly prepare for a safe hike, review equipment
and share Leave No Trace Principles before heading out as a group,
traversing over easy to moderate terrain and trails. Along the way,
guides will share information about the local area and take breaks to
soak in the peaceful and beautiful views.
Have your
cameras or cell phones ready!! Headlamps are provided.
Please come prepared with weather- and activity-appropriate clothing
(preferably synthetic). Make sure to wear activity-appropriate shoes
for hiking. Bring a daypack and at least one quart of water (no glass
bottles, please). Also make sure to bring any personal prescriptions,
such as EpiPen or inhaler. And, of course, don't forget insect
repellent.
***Adult supervision for the duration of the
event is required. Girls must attend with a parent/guardian or troop
leaders (following ratio). All attending adults must register and pay.
This allows us to confirm ample space and supervision in advance of
the event. No tagalongs permitted.***
