They're baaaacccckkkk.....Calling all Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors! Who's daring enough to explore what locals call "one of Pittsburgh's most haunted trails" during this special Night Hike that promises to be extra spooky?
Join us as we bravely explore a section of trail in Allegheny County steeped in urban legends and paranormal mysteries. Our friends at L.L. Bean's Outdoor Discovery School will share spooky stories along the way as dusk falls and the nighttime creeps into the woods. The trail is mostly flat (approximately 2-3 miles) and the spooky stories are family friendly. Headlamps will be available if necessary.
Come out - if you dare - for a fun-filled (and spooky) Friday night adventure.
Please come prepared with weather- and activity-appropriate clothing (preferably synthetic). Dressing in multiple layers allows more flexibility to comfortably respond to the weather conditions and your exertion levels. Make sure to where activity-appropriate closed-toed shoes (no crocs) and bring a day pack and at least one quart of water (no glass bottles, please). Also make sure to bring any personal prescriptions, such as EpiPen or inhaler. And, of course, don't forget insect repellent.
***Adult supervision for the duration of the event is required. Girls must attend with a parent/guardian or troop leaders (following ratio). All attending adults must register. This allows us to confirm ample space and supervision in advance of the event. No tagalongs permitted.***
