Use our nomination form to nominate a volunteer for any of the awards below. Seven new awards have been added for 2026! All nominations are due Feb. 1, other than the Volunteer of Excellence, which can be submitted at any time.
Volunteer of Excellence
Recognizes those volunteers who have contributed outstanding service while partnering directly with girls in any pathway to implement the Girl Scout Leadership Experience through the use of the national program portfolio or who have contributed outstanding service in support of the council’s mission delivery to girl and adult members. Nominations can be submitted at any time.
The Promise Award New!
A peer-to-peer award for those who have already received the Volunteer of Excellence.
Appreciation Pin
Recognizes an individual’s exemplary service in support of delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. This service, which has had a measurable impact on one geographic area of service, helps reach and surpass the mission-delivery goals of the area.
The Shining Star Award New!
For those who have already received the Appreciation Pin and have continued to provide exemplary service at the service unit level.
Honor Pin
Recognizes an individual’s exemplary service in support of delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, which has had a measurable impact on two or more geographic areas of service, allowing the council to reach and surpass its mission-delivery goals.
The Sisterhood Award New!
For those who have already received the Honor Pin and have continued to provide exemplary service to more than one service unit.
Thanks Badge I and II
Honors an individual whose ongoing commitment, leadership, and service have had an exceptional, measurable impact on meeting the mission-delivery goals and priorities of the entire council or the entire Girl Scout Movement.
The Trefoil Award New!
For those who have already received the Thanks Badge II and have continued to provide exemplary service to the entire council or the Girl Scout movement.
President's Award
Recognizes the efforts of a service-delivery team or committee whose exemplary service in support of delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Experience surpassed team goals and resulted in significant, measurable impact toward reaching the council’s overall goals.
The Pearl Award New!
For volunteers at any level who have provided at least twenty years of active service.
The Innovation in Action Award New!
Given to a volunteer who has developed, implemented, and shared a creative, innovative approach to furthering any aspect of the Girl Scout mission.
The Friendship Circle Award New!
Given to a group, organization, business, or non-member individual to recognize their support of the Girl Scout mission.
