Camp Redwing holds a special place in the hearts of Girl Scouts, volunteers, staff, and their families. We understand it can be emotional for some members when a camp is sold and that many would like to visit the camp one more time. The closing ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 2-4 p.m. is the only opportunity to tour Camp Redwing and pay tribute to its legacy in person.
In recent weeks, individuals have entered the property without authorization. Camp Redwing is private property and remains closed to Girl Scout members and the public. Any unauthorized entry is considered trespassing and will be referred to law enforcement.
Visiting the camp without authorization is unsafe for many reasons, and puts council staff at risk, too.
We ask all community members, especially those who love Camp Redwing, to help us protect what Girl Scouts stand for — respect, responsibility, and integrity and our Girl Scout Promise. The best way to honor Camp Redwing’s legacy is to channel that passion into supporting our open camp properties, where new generations of Girl Scouts are building their own memories.
