[PITTSBURGH, PA]— Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania will honor 13 exceptional women from western Pennsylvania and two local Gold Award Girl Scouts for their accomplishments and leadership at the annual Awards of Distinction event.

This annual event honors inspirational women and two Gold Award Girl Scouts while celebrating the mission of the Girl Scout Movement, which is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

The 2023 Women of Distinction in each category are:
The Joyce M. Murtha Excellence in Community Service Award will be presented to Melissa C. Radovanic, Assistant Manager of Commercial, Distribution & Collections at RDM, the management company of Greater Johnstown Water Authority. The Joyce M. Murtha Excellence in Community Service Award is awarded to an individual or couple who has embodied the award namesake’s values of improving the community through service, philanthropy, and leadership in the Johnstown area.
Two Gold Award Girl Scouts will also receive awards at the event. The Girl Scout of Distinction Award will be presented to Noelle Kraeger, a student at Highlands High School. Sophia Gledhill, a graduate of Quaker Valley High School, will receive the Girl Scout Humanitarian Award.
Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania will present the 2023 Organization of Distinction award to UPMC and UPMC Health Plan.
