[PITTSBURGH, PA]— Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania will honor 11 exceptional women from western Pennsylvania, two local Gold Award Girl Scouts, and one corporate partner for their accomplishments and leadership at the annual Awards of Distinction event.

Evening Reception 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.
This annual event honors inspirational women and two Gold Award Girl Scouts while celebrating the mission of the Girl Scout Movement, which is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

The 2024 Women of Distinction in each category are:
- Business: Emily Riggs Korns, President, Somerset Welding & Steel, Founder & President, Uptown Works
- Community Relations: Lorraine Zwickle, Vice President, Assistant Director of Client and Community Relations, PNC Bank
- Corporate Leadership: Stephanie Sciullo, President, MSA Americas
- Finance: Quynh McGuire, Vice President, Investor Relations, Koppers
- Health Care: Tracey L. Ryan, Vice President, Patient Access Service Line, UPMC
- Law: Jayme L. Butcher, Partner and Co-Chair, Commercial Litigation Practice Group, Blank Rome LLP
- Marketing & PR: Amy Smiley, Vice President of Marketing & PR, 84 Lumber Company
- Nonprofit: Bobbi Watt Geer, PhD, President & CEO, United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania
- Science: Diana Kelley, Senior Research and Development Scientist, Covestro LLC
- Social Impact: Samantha Hartzman, Head of Social Impact & Chief Diversity Officer, Duquesne Light Company
The Joyce M. Murtha Excellence in Community Service Award will be presented to Olivia Bragdon, founder of the Stork Fund. The Joyce M. Murtha Excellence in Community Service Award is awarded to an individual who has embodied the award namesake’s values of improving the community through service, philanthropy, and leadership in the Johnstown area.
Two Gold Award Girl Scouts will also receive awards at the event. The Girl Scout of Distinction Award will be presented to Sawyer Wright, a student at North Allegheny Senior High School, and Eliza Davis, a student at Fox Chapel High School, will receive the Girl Scout Humanitarian Award.
Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania will present the 2024 Organization of Distinction award to Erie Insurance.
