Girl Scouts Outdoor Awards 2019-2020

Eco Extravaganza for Brownies and Juniors 07-13-20

Join in for an exploration of camping basics like preparing a camp meal, the Leave No Trace Principles, how we can make a difference at Summer Camp, basic knot tying, and more! Brownies and Juniors in the Eco Extravaganza session will meet on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 3:45 P.M. and Friday at 3:00 P.M. Brownies will earn the Eco Friend badge, while Juniors will earn the Eco Camper badge. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 07-08-20

Week of the Wilderness for Daisies 08-03-20

Week of the Wilderness for Seniors and Ambassadors 08-03-20

Dive into survival skills on the trail and while camping! We will plan a trip to the back country, practice our camp cooking skills, basic First Aid, and more! Seniors and Ambassadors in the Week of the Wildnerness session will meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 10:00 A.M. and Friday at 2:00 P.M. Seniors will earn the Adventure Camper badge, while Ambassadors will earn the Survival Camper badge. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 07-29-20

Week of the Wilderness for Brownies and Juniors 08-03-20

Join us for a week of camping skills, outdoor fun, and trip planning! Learn how to plan for a trip and set goals for your group, the correct gear needed for any adventure, and the importance of Leave No Trace. Brownies and Juniors in the Week of the Wildnerness session will meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 3:15 P.M. and Friday at 2:00 P.M. Brownies will earn the Cabin Camper badge and Juniors will earn the Camper badge. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 07-29-20

Registration Confirmation

You'll see a detailed receipt on your screen upon completion of the registration process. This receipt is your activity registration confirmation. If you do not see a detailed receipt, you have not fully completed the registration process. If this happens to you, please contact Customer Care at customercare@gswpa.org for assistance. For some council activities, you will receive a confirmation letter via email with more activity information.

To view a list of your current activity registrations, log in to your MyGS and click MyActivities. Clicking the information icon next to each activity will provide you additional information.

Refunds & Cancellations

Refunds will be given when:

  • GSWPA cancels council activity
  • Financial Assistance is not awarded and the registrant has made a partial payment
  • Registrant cancels their registration by the posted registration deadline for programs/training
  • Registrant cancels their registration within two weeks of their summer camp start date 

Refund requests submitted after these deadlines will be considered when a registrant cancels due to illness, family illness, or family emergency and approved by Council.

Refunds will NOT be given for deposits, late arrivals, early departures, no shows, or participants who leave due to behavior or due to dissatisfaction. Financial Aid will not be refunded to members upon cancellation of activity. 

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Refunds could take up to 30 days to process.  

Note: If you want to transfer your registration to another member, please use the Transfer Request Form

Transfers

If you can’t attend a council activity for which you registered and for which you paid fully, you can request that the registration be transferred to another active member of Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania. To make this request, complete the Transfer Registration Request form. Requests must be submitted at least 3 business days before the council activity. Note: Financial Aid cannot be transferred.

Late Registration and Late Payment

To ensure that we have the proper amount of supplies and adult supervision available, we do not allow registrations to be processed after the posted registration deadline with the exception of waitlist registrations. Registrants who are on a waitlist will have their registration processed if a spot opens up after the registration deadline. The registration deadline that is listed with the council activity is the last date that you can register for the council activity.

If you have not paid in full by the registration deadline, your registration may be cancelled and partial payment may not be refunded.
