Niagara Falls Excursion 06-26-22

Grab your barrel we're going to the Falls! This multi-night adventure to the infamous Niagara Falls (New York version) will be filled with experiences like a walk through the Cave of the Winds, a ride on the iconic Maid of the Mist, and a visit to the aquarium. Camp will be made in the Niagara Falls area for four nights. Transportation and cost of park is all included with registration. Campers do not need passports. Tranquil Trails Mini Week 07-05-22

Prerequisite: Campers must be able to hike three miles while wearing a backpack weighing at least 20 pounds.

Me and My Girl Scout at Camp Hawthorne Ridge 07-22-22

Make lifelong memories at camp with your mom, dad, or best adult pal. You'll be in for a weekend full of adventure when you participate in four of our traditional camp activities and have a camp-tastic time. Each Girl Scout and adult will be housed in a rustic cabin, platform tent, or lodge. Please note, archery is limited to Brownie Girl Scouts and older.

Discover the mysteries beyond the wooded canopy of Camp Hawthorne Ridge. Spend your day hiking, crafting, and swimming. When nighttime comes around, search the sky for shooting stars, view planets and constellations through a telescope, and learn about the great wonders of outer space.

Kayak, Canoe, and You 07-24-22

Experience all four of our council's Girl Scout camps in this one adventure-filled session! Begin at Camp Hawthorne Ridge where you'll learn about knot tying and experience sailing. Then, head to Camp Redwing to canoe down the Connoquenessing Creek, and when you get to Camp Skymeadow, paddleboard around for the day and enjoy the rolling hills. Your final destination is at Camp Conshatawba, where you'll head out on the Stonycreek River on a guided kayaking daytrip.

Cavernous Adventures 07-24-22

Begin your adventure with a walk around camp, archery, or crafts, but then it's time to hit the road. Visit America’s most colorful caverns, Ohio Caverns, mosey down to Louisville, Kentucky for an ultimate underground zipline tour at Mega Cavern, the world’s only fully underground zipline tour, and get an introduction to caving tours at Mammoth National Park. This courageous caving will also include some overnight, off-camp adventures along the route. This adventurous road trip wraps up back at Camp Hawthorne Ridge with a movie night under the stars. Girl Scouts must be at least 10 years of age, and chest or hip measurements must not exceed 42 inches.

It's sure to be a special weekend when you bring your mom, dad, or best adult pal to camp with you. You'll be in for a weekend full of adventure with a day at Presque Isle State Park where the activities include canoeing at the lagoons, biking around the peninsula, and an afternoon in the sand at the beach. Back at camp, enjoy a fire and smore's. Each Girl Scout and adult will be housed in a rustic cabin, platform tent, or lodge.

Daisy and Brownie Day Camps 08-01-22

Join your fellow Daisies and Brownies as you explore Camp Hawthorne Ridge. This brand-new day camp has you taking many adventures including hiking the gorge, swimming, and games at the low ropes course. Enjoy the great outdoors and spend time hiking, singing, and crafting your way through camp. Girl Scouts will learn foundational camping skills, make new friends, and discover all the great things about summer camp! This camp is not an overnight camp. Drop-off will be from 9:00-9:30 a.m. each morning. Pick-up will be from 5:30-6:30 p.m. each evening, except for Friday. Friday pick-up will be at 2pm.

Summer Celebration Mini Week 08-07-22

Crafty Creations Mini Week 08-07-22

Explore your artistic side through a variety of art mediums— in- and out-of-doors. From drawing and sculpting to jewelry and mosaics, discover your unique artistic style while also joining in your favorite traditional camp activities.

  • Scroll through the activities listings to find an activity or event that interests your girl.
  • Use the Advanced Search option to seach by location, program level, or date.
  • When searching for virtual events, use zip code 15212 to view all our virtual event offerings. To search for virtual events designed for your girl, click on Filter from the search results page and add a grade level.
  • Once you find an activity or event that interests you, click the Register Now button and sign in to your Member Community. 
  • Select the members of your household or troop you want to register. Enter payment information and confirm your registration. 
  • Save or print your receipt from the Confirmation page. You can also click on My Activities in the top menu of your Member Community to view activies with completed registration and view additional details.

Registration Confirmation

You'll see a detailed receipt on your screen upon completion of the registration process. This receipt is your activity registration confirmation. If you do not see a detailed receipt, you have not fully completed the registration process. If this happens to you, please contact Customer Care at customercare@gswpa.org for assistance. For some council activities, you will receive a confirmation letter via email with more activity information.

To view a list of your current activity registrations, log in to your MyGS and click MyActivities. Clicking the information icon next to each activity will provide you additional information.

Refunds & Cancellations

Summer camp 2022: Click here to view our camp refund and cancellation policy.

All other Activities: Refunds will be given when:

  • GSWPA cancels council activity
  • Financial Assistance is not awarded and the registrant has made a partial payment
  • Registrant cancels their registration by the posted registration deadline for programs/training
  • Registrant cancels their registration within two weeks of their summer camp start date 

Refund requests submitted after these deadlines will be considered when a registrant cancels due to illness, family illness, or family emergency and approved by Council.

Refunds will NOT be given for deposits, late arrivals, early departures, no shows, or participants who leave due to behavior or due to dissatisfaction. Financial Aid will not be refunded to members upon cancellation of activity. 

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Refunds could take up to 30 days to process.  

Note: If you want to transfer your registration to another member, please use the Transfer Request Form

Transfers

If you can’t attend a council activity for which you registered and for which you paid fully, you can request that the registration be transferred to another active member of Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania. To make this request, complete the Transfer Registration Request form. Requests must be submitted at least 3 business days before the council activity. Note: Financial Aid cannot be transferred.

Late Registration and Late Payment

To ensure that we have the proper amount of supplies and adult supervision available, we do not allow registrations to be processed after the posted registration deadline with the exception of waitlist registrations. Registrants who are on a waitlist will have their registration processed if a spot opens up after the registration deadline. The registration deadline that is listed with the council activity is the last date that you can register for the council activity.

If you have not paid in full by the registration deadline, your registration may be cancelled and partial payment may not be refunded.
