Leadership Skills Sleepover 05-07-22

Looking to one day find a job at summer camp? Well here is your chance to experience it. Camp Skymeadow will be hosting a leadership skills sleepover. During this night at camp, we will have workshops on what it means to be a leader while still having fun. After the workshops are complete, we will have a pizza night and watch a movie outdoors (weather permitting) In the morning, we will complete our series with examples of what it means to be a leader at camp. This session can count as community service for those looking fufill hours. Every girl scout who attends must be accompanied by an adult.

Small Craft Safety Training: Stand Up Paddleboarding 05-22-22

Looking for something new to do with your Girl Scouts? Join our Outdoor Program Specialist, Summer, to get trained in Standup Paddleboarding (SUP)! This training will run on Sunday May 22nd at Camp Skymeadow, from 11AM-3PM. You will learn all the basics to be able to take Girl Scouts out on flat and/or slow-moving water. Some topics include safety, site preparation, teaching, and on water skills and rescues.

Experience all four of our council's Girl Scout camps in this one adventure-filled session! Begin at Camp Hawthorne Ridge where you'll learn about knot tying and experience sailing. Then, head to Camp Redwing to canoe down the Connoquenessing Creek, and when you get to Camp Skymeadow, paddleboard around for the day and enjoy the rolling hills. Your final destination is at Camp Conshatawba, where you'll head out on the Stonycreek River on a guided kayaking daytrip.

Help with Registering
  • Scroll through the activities listings to find an activity or event that interests your girl.
  • Use the Advanced Search option to seach by location, program level, or date.
  • When searching for virtual events, use zip code 15212 to view all our virtual event offerings. To search for virtual events designed for your girl, click on Filter from the search results page and add a grade level.
  • Once you find an activity or event that interests you, click the Register Now button and sign in to your Member Community. 
  • Select the members of your household or troop you want to register. Enter payment information and confirm your registration. 
  • Save or print your receipt from the Confirmation page. You can also click on My Activities in the top menu of your Member Community to view activies with completed registration and view additional details.

Registration Confirmation

You'll see a detailed receipt on your screen upon completion of the registration process. This receipt is your activity registration confirmation. If you do not see a detailed receipt, you have not fully completed the registration process. If this happens to you, please contact Customer Care at customercare@gswpa.org for assistance. For some council activities, you will receive a confirmation letter via email with more activity information.

To view a list of your current activity registrations, log in to your MyGS and click MyActivities. Clicking the information icon next to each activity will provide you additional information.

Refunds & Cancellations

Summer camp 2022: Click here to view our camp refund and cancellation policy.

All other Activities: Refunds will be given when:

  • GSWPA cancels council activity
  • Financial Assistance is not awarded and the registrant has made a partial payment
  • Registrant cancels their registration by the posted registration deadline for programs/training
  • Registrant cancels their registration within two weeks of their summer camp start date 

Refund requests submitted after these deadlines will be considered when a registrant cancels due to illness, family illness, or family emergency and approved by Council.

Refunds will NOT be given for deposits, late arrivals, early departures, no shows, or participants who leave due to behavior or due to dissatisfaction. Financial Aid will not be refunded to members upon cancellation of activity. 

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Refunds could take up to 30 days to process.  

Note: If you want to transfer your registration to another member, please use the Transfer Request Form

Transfers

If you can’t attend a council activity for which you registered and for which you paid fully, you can request that the registration be transferred to another active member of Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania. To make this request, complete the Transfer Registration Request form. Requests must be submitted at least 3 business days before the council activity. Note: Financial Aid cannot be transferred.

Late Registration and Late Payment

To ensure that we have the proper amount of supplies and adult supervision available, we do not allow registrations to be processed after the posted registration deadline with the exception of waitlist registrations. Registrants who are on a waitlist will have their registration processed if a spot opens up after the registration deadline. The registration deadline that is listed with the council activity is the last date that you can register for the council activity.

If you have not paid in full by the registration deadline, your registration may be cancelled and partial payment may not be refunded.
