Follow the steps below or download our tip sheet: How to Register for an Event.

Scroll through the Activity List to find an event that interests your girl.
Use the Advanced Search link to the right of the search bar to search by Date, Program Level, or Category.*
Click on the title of the event for additional details. Once you find an activity or event that interests you, click the REGISTER NOW button.
Select your quantity of girl and adult spots and click the LOG IN button to log into your MyGS account. If you are already logged in, you will click the ADD EVENTS button.
Add your details by selecting the members of your household or troop you want to register under “Assign attendees.” Choose your payment option and click SUBMIT MEMBER DETAILS.
If everything looks correct, click REVIEW CART.
Review your information and agree to the Girl Scout Promise and Law (required). Click ADD PAYMENT DETAILS.
Input your payment details and click SUBMIT PAYMENT. Save or print your receipt from the confirmation page. You can also click on My Events on the left side menu of your MyGS account to view events with completed registration and view additional details.

*To search by location, visit the national Event Search page. To only include Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania events, be sure to select the “Show only the events of My Council” checkbox. To include virtual events in your search, be sure to select the “Include virtual events in my search” checkbox.

Registration confirmation toggle arrow

You'll see a detailed receipt on your screen upon completion of the registration process. This receipt is your activity registration confirmation. If you do not see a detailed receipt, you have not fully completed the registration process. If this happens to you, please contact customer care at customercare@gswpa.org for assistance. For some council activities, you will receive a confirmation letter via email with more activity information.

To view a list of your current event registrations, log in to your MyGS and click My Events. Clicking the information icon next to each activity will provide you with additional information.

Refunds and cancellations toggle arrow

View our summer camp refund and cancellation policy.

For all other activities, refunds will be given when:

Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania cancels an activity or event.
Financial assistance is not awarded, and the registrant has made a partial payment.
Registrant cancels their registration by the original posted registration deadline for programs/training.
For travel activities, refer to each activity for its specific refund polices.

Refunds will not be given for program partner/ticketed events after the original registration deadline.

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Refunds will NOT be given for deposits, late arrivals, early departures, no-shows, or participants who leave due to behavior or due to dissatisfaction. Financial aid will not be refunded to members upon cancellation of an activity. 

Refund requests submitted after these deadlines will be considered when a registrant cancels due to illness, family illness, or family emergency and is approved by council.

Refunds could take up to 30 days to process.

Cancellation
In the event of inclement weather (which may also affect phone and internet connection for virtual events), you may call 800-248-3355 to see if the event is still taking place. A message will be left on the voicemail system if the event is canceled. We are a twenty-seven-county Girl Scout council. Remember that weather patterns vary drastically from one area to another (and technology is never perfect for virtual events).

Transfers

Events are non-transferable. If you would like to cancel and request a refund, please complete the Event Cancellation/Refund Request Form and review our refund policy.

If you would like to transfer from one council-sponsored summer camp session to another, please contact member care at 800-248-3355 or customercare@gswpa.org.

Please note: Financial assistance cannot be transferred.

Late registration and late payment toggle arrow

To ensure that we have the proper amount of supplies and adult supervision available, we do not allow registrations to be processed after the posted registration deadline with the exception of waitlist registrations. Registrants who are on a waitlist will have their registration processed if a spot opens up after the registration deadline. The registration deadline that is listed with the council activity is the last date that you can register for the council activity.

If you have not paid in full by the registration deadline, your registration may be canceled and partial payment may not be refunded.
